Nictaux Falls -

The people of this community received a severe shock on Tuesday morning, of last week, when it became known that Mr. Beniah S. Banks had fallen while about his work and immediately expired. Mr. Banks had been a resident of this place for the past six years, having sold his farm at Meadowvale because of declining health. Since living here he has been a respected and his passing will leave another large vacancy, not only in the home, but also in the community. He leaves to mourn his loss a sorrowing widow and one daughter, Mrs. Emerson Wheelock and two grandsons, beside two brothers and two sisters and a very large circle of friends. His funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at Tremont Church, where he had been a faithful member since early manhood. They were conducted by pastor Neilson, assisted by Rev. P.A. Walker. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the bereaved ones.
