  • William was born in 1818, the child of Christopher Banks and Phebe Durland. [1]
  • On 12 Jan 1840, William married Hannah Rankin (born 1823, daughter of Joseph Rankin) [1], and they had children, including:
  1. Frederick Millage, born circa 1852, who died September 16, 1941 [2]
  2. William Osbert, born circa 1856, Arlington, Annapolis County, N.S. [1][3] who married Mary Palmer in 1879[4]
  3. Ada, born circa 1857, the wife of Charles Atwood Freeman [3]
  4. Anna Bell, born circa 1859, the wife of Edwin Burton Freeman [3]
