Henry was born[1] in 1857. In 1886, he married[2] Carrie Belle Wiswell in Halifax. According to his registration of death, Henry died[3] in 1916. (His gravestone[4] in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia indicates he died in 1918.) His obituary[5] noted:
Havelock Banks, the well known merchant, for some years inspector in Halifax under the Liquor License Act. He was a native of Clarence, Annapolis County, and came to Halifax about 35 years ago, and opened in the commission and produce business, which he discontinued for some years while he held office as inspector. On retiring from that office he resumed the business and also interested himself in the lobster canning industry on the Gulf shore. He was 58 years of age. He leaves a wife, a daughter of WG Wiswell, father, mother, and 1 brother at Clarence, and a sister, Mrs JO Neily, Brooklyn, Annapolis County. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown on Tuesday morning.
