A quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. And Mrs. James Jackson Monday morning, Sept. 13th when their eldest daughter, Laura Almeda, was united in marriage to Percy G. Banks, of Williamston, by Rev. M. S. Richardson.
The bridal party entered the room to the strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march played by Miss Ruth Jackson, sister of the bride. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Isabelle MacQuarrie, of Carleton Corner and Mr. Ernest P. Jackson of Halifax, brother of the bride.
The bride was becomingly dressed in navy blue silk and carried a bouquet of white asters and asparagus. The bridesmaid was dressed in copenhagen blue silk and carried a bouquet of pink and white sweet peas.
Following the reception a dainty luncheon was served, after which the happy couple left for Halifax by the afternoon train, where they will spend a few weeks visiting relatives.
