Biography
Jerry was born in 1935. He was the son of Chester Banks and Ruth Dean. He passed away in 1993.
Jerry registered for the Military Draft [1] in 1954, when he was a Senior in High School. After graduation, Jerry convinced a group of his buddies to sign up for the military. Ironically all were accepted except Jerry, who was refused by the service because of his very bad eyesight. He had what was referred to as a "lazy eye." This resulted in him being almost blind in one eye. This also led to problems for him in later life when seeking employment.
