DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Lary by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lary:

Lawrence’s DAR Patriot Service was pulled because the DAR stopped using MCCall Tidwell, after I received DAR status. Donald Clarke, a BANKSTON cousin and historian let me know that Wilkes County, Ga was the only County to have a record of those Rev War Soldiers who were not lucky drawers in the land lottery available to draw. Thanks to Don Clarke, a phone call to DAR in the AM, by afternoon, Lawrence Bankston was successfully reinstated. A copy of the documentation is provided with my book, The Spirit in the South, Author House 2008.
