Biography

Birth

Jessie Barbara Bannatyne was born in 1857 in Victoria, her father, Daniel, was 26, and her mother, Mary, was 28. She then married John George Green on 7 April 1897.

Immigration

She went from Australia to the Otago Goldfields with her family.

Marriage 1

She married Frank Hart Guinness in 1877 in New Zealand.[1]

Frank died on the 1st April 1895, at the Douglas Hotel, Dunedin leaving Jessie a widow.

Marriage 2

On 7 April 1897 she married John George Green in Dunedin.[2]. In 1902 their son George Leslie Green was born. She moved to Christchurch for at least five years before moving to Tauranga where she lived for twenty four years.[3].

Death

She died in Aug 1932 in Tauranga,[4] and was buried in section 12, row 18, plot 66 of the Anglican Cemetery, Tauranga.[5].
