Alister Bannerman was born in Scotland.
Alister John Bannerman was born on 25 December 1923 in Dundee, Scotland. His parents were Alister Ross Bannerman and Marion Meiklejohn.

[Bannerman-454|Alister Ross Bannerman (1897-1975)] traveled from Dundee, Scotland to Bairoil, Wyoming, USA to prepare for bringing his family to come over from Scotland.

On 19 Nov 1924 Marion Meiklejohn and a young Alister John arrived in New York, New York, USA bound for Bairoil, Wyoming, USA to join Alister Ross Bannerman.[1]

By 1929 Alister Ross Bannerman and Marion Meiklejohn Bannerman had traveled to Seattle, Washington according US Phone Directories. [2] They also had another child Margaret Marion Bannerman who was 3 years old. They also completed the 1930 US Census in Seattle, Washington, USA.[3]

On 15 April 1940 Alister Ross and Marion were still living in Seattle Washington, USA. Alister John was 16 years old.[4]

Alister John was originally stationed in Saulte Ste Marie, Michigan, where he was a guard of the Locks. When he was sent overseas he was sent to France. He was in the 2nd group to land on Utah Beach during the invasion. He was a security guard for General Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Alister John Bannerman married Shirley Ann Wallis on 25 April 1947 in Seattle, Washington.[6] Alister John worked for Pacific Northwest Bell (now known as AT&T).

They had three Children:

  2. Heather Bannerman Michaels
  3. Jean Bannerman Peterson

Alister John Bannerman passed/died at his home on 9 Jun 2006. He is interned at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, King County, Washington, USA.[7]
