On 1 June 1900, Eleanor A Banning age 7 was living at 416 North Broadway in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California with her parents Hancock and Annie Banning, two brothers Hancock, 8 and George, 5, one uncle william Banning 40, Aunt Susie G Patton, age 35, Grandfather George H Smith, age 62 and four servents Isaiah Robinson, age 19, Abbie Mapes, age 59, Elizabeth Fox, age 30 and Bessie Murphy, age 36.[3]
On 12 Dec 1908, at age 14 she arrived in New York, New York aboard the Lusitania with her mother anne. The ship had departed from Liverpool, England.[4]
On 15 April 1910, Eleanor Banning age 16 was living at 210 West Adams in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California.[5]
Marriage
On 6 Jun 1917, Eleanor A Banning married John Cobb Macfarland in Los Angeles, California.[6]
On 2 January 1920 at age 26, she was living in a home owned with a mortgage on Harfield Ave in South Pasadena, Los Angeles, California. Was living with her husband, daughter and one servent.[7]
On 21 May 1924, at age 30 she was issued a passport in Pasadena, California.[2]
On 9 July 1924, she sailed aboard the Acquitania from New york[2].
On 15 Jul 1924, she arrived aboard the ship Aquitania under a first class ticket, in Southampton, England. and had departed the united states from New York, New York at age 31. With her husband John and daughter Anne. They are going to stay at 5 cleveland Terrace in hyde park, London. [11]
On 28 Nov 1924, Eleanor Banning Macfarland arrived in New York, New York, aboard the ship Mauretania, under a first class ticket. She had departed from Southampton, England. with only her daughter anne.[12]
On 8 April 1930, at age 36 she was living at 1869 Euclid Ave in San Marino, Los Angeles, California. Was living with her husband and 11 year old daughter Anne.She was born in Califorina as was both parents. She was attending school and able to read and write.[8]
In 1938, the family was living at 1869 Endid ave in Los Angeles, California. Eleanor was working as a Housewife and voted Democrat. Her husband john was a Lawyer and voted Republican.[13]
On 29 Jun 1939, at age 46 she departed from Los Angeles, California on a first class ticket and arrived in Honolulu, Hawaii on 5 Jul 1939 with only her husband john.[14]
On 28 Jul 1939, she departed Honolulu, Hawaii under a first class ticket, aboard the ship Lurline.She traved with her husband john and 20 year old daughter Anne.[15]
On 4 Aug 1939,at age 46, Eleanor Macfarland arrived in Los Angeles, California, aboard the ship Lurline, from Honolulu, Hawaii, with a first class tickets with her husband john and 20 year old daughter Anne[16]
In 1940, at age 47, she was living in a home that was owned valued at 50, 000 dollars at 1869 Euclid Avenue in San Gabriel, Los Angeles, California.Was living with her husband, there three children and three servents.[9]
In 1958 she was living in Pasadena, California.[17]
Death
Eleanor died on 27 Jul 1940[1] in Los Angeles, Califorina.[18]

Eleanor was buried in San Gabriel Cemetery. Located in San Gabriel, Los Angeles County, California.[1]
