1867: Marriage of "Jael" Hodgins and Sarah Mary Bannister registered Q4 at Steyning, Sussex, England.[13] This second marriage registration fits better with the length of the marriage as stated at the 1911 census. Perhaps the 1861 marriage was arranged secretly following the birth of Thomas Jacob Hodgins, born Q3[14] and christened 9 Sep 1861[15], dying shortly after[16].
