Izzabiah was born in 1772. She passed away in 1861[1] in Elkins, Arkansas and is buried at McCord cemetary.[2]
Husband John's appears by name in the 1790[3] and 1800[4] census in Laurens, South Carolina.
After the death of her husband John, Izibiah appears on the 1850 census living in the home of her son John T. Carter.[5]
Research Notes
Izibiah's son, George Washington Carter named one of his son's Lewis Banton Carter and one of his daughters Izzibiah in deference to (his mother) Izibiah's first and maiden names.
Izibiah's father, Lewis Banton and her husband, John Carter, both appear on both the 1790 and 1800 Laurens, South Carolina census.
