“Bert” Barber emigrated to Australia before 1915 and worked as fruit grower in Queensland. After his return from WWl where he served in Gallipoli and Western Front, he became a linesman for the Post Master General in Queensland. He married and produced 3 live children. At some stage before WWII the family transferred to Adelaide, South Australia, where he was a technician with the PMG. He passed away after a long retirement.
