Biography

Ignazio was born around 1762 [1] to Francesco Barbera and Angela Saladdino [2]. He married Grazia Pendola in 1785 [3] and they had several children. He was widowed and in 1824 he married 56-year-old Rosa Catalanotto [4]. They had no children.

He died in 1837 at around age 75 (his birth record claims he was 86; see Source for birth year). Maestro Ignazio was, per his 1824 marriage record, a mason. His death record describes him as a peasant farmer.
