Biography

Calogero was born before 1721 to parents as yet unidentified. He married Stefania Rametta and they had at least one child who was born before 1737. These people may have been older than these dates suggest. Calogero died some time after 30 Sept 1753

• Birth year: no source. I am assuming that he is at least 16 years older than son Nunzio who was probably born prior to 1737.
• Birth location: although his parents are not yet identified, the Barbera family was living in SMB for a long time and he is probably connected to that family.
• Marriage to Stefania Rametta: he and Stefania are named as parents in son Nunzio's 1753 marriage record. Ancestry.com. Source record attached to a family tree. Record is from the church of S.S. Rosario in Santa Margherita di Belice, Sicily.
