Biography

Mary Ann was born in 1865. She was the daughter of John Barbour and Elizabeth Kerr. She passed away in 1951.

Mary Ann was living with her parents in Dalry in 1871 and then in 1881 she was living in Paisley with her sisters Lucy and Elizabeth. In the early 1880s Mary Ann and Elizabeth went to Braceville Illinois and both were married there. Mary Ann married Charles Reid and had her first son Alexander there in 1886. The family then returned to Dalry and the rest of the children were born there. Charles signed the death certificate of his mother in law in 1905 and then the family went back to Illinois. The children were James Reid, John Barbour Reid ,Charles Reid, David Reid, George Barbour Reid and Hugh Martin Reid.
