Louis was born 1 May 1732, baptized on the 2nd in Montmagny, Louis Janbard[1], recorded as le fils de Jean Baptiste Janbard et de Marie Joseph Talon sa légitime épouse. His godfather was Louis Couillard, seigneur de la Rivière du Sud and godmother Geneviève Langlois, sister-in-law of said Louis Couillard.

Louis Jambard married Marie Lamars (sic) on 23 Nov 1751 in Montmagny (St-Thomas)[2]. Louis Jambard est inscrit comme le fils de Jean Baptiste Jambard et Marie Joseph Talon, Marie Lamars est inscrite comme fille de Pierre Lamars et Marie Barbe Fournier.

5 enfants connus de ce mariage, dont 2 meurent jeunes et 2 se marient[3]


Louis Bard meurt le 16 juillet 1799 et est enterré le 17 à St-Jean-Port-Joli[4]. On le dit veuf de Marie Lamare et âgé de 86 ans sur l'acte.
