Willis Bardliving is a part of US Black heritage.

Willis was born about 1874 in Caw Caw Township, Orangeburg. He was married to Annie.

HIs surname Bartliving, adopted by his children as Bardliving, is a unique name. Further research might locate a Bardliving with an earlier date, but It seems that the 1900 census is the first written record of the name. See Notes for more.

In the 1900 census Willis (age 26) was the married head of household in Caw Caw Township (west part), Orangeburg, South Carolina, United States.[1]

His daughter, Sarah Bardliving Davis, born 9 Sep 1903 in Orangeburg, SC, to Willis Bardliving and Ann Brown Bardliving, was in an obituary on 7 May 1985 in Stamford, Connecticut. She died (age 81) on 4 May 1985 in New Haven, CT .[2]
