Samuel Barfield is a part of US Black heritage.

Samuel is listed in the 1910 U.S. Census as a 3 month old mulatto boy living with his father, mother, and six siblings in Police Jury Ward 4, St. Landry, Louisiana.[1]

Samuel is listed in the 1920 U.S. Census as a 7 year old black boy living with his father, mother, and five siblings in Cheneyville, Louisiana. He has not attended school in the last year and is unable to read or write.[2]
