Janie (Barfield) Cook was a South Carolinian.

Janie Barfield was born on September 13, 1889, in Clarendon, South Carolina, United States. Her parents were Mack Barfield and Lenora Thigpen.^[1]

She first married Jim Porter in about 1906.^[2] He died in 1925 and she next married Jep Cook sometime before 1940.^[3]

She died on October 14, 1961, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning, Clarendon, South Carolina, United States.^[4][5]She was buried at New Town Cemetery in Clarendon County, South Carolina.^[6]
