Benjamin was born in 1840. He is the son of Joseph Barker and Henrietta. he was christened on 7 June 1840 at Whitwell, Derbyshire.[1]
Benjamin married Eliza Mossley on 11 April 1864 at Chesterfield, Derbyshire. [2]
Benjamin died on 18 September 1896 at Grassmoor No.4 Colliery, Derbyshire. He was cutting coal and a prop gave way and allowed the roof to fall on him. [3][4]
