DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA test-takers in his direct paternal line.
Mitochondrial DNA test-takers in the direct maternal line:
Some of the Barker's were imported from Gedcoms, would not have had the check box. Some of the Barker's have been merged with duplicates, probably some individuals without parents on the profiles. So mostly this is just an oversight, no one went back and checked the boxes.
The parents have not been marked as confident. Is this an oversight? I noticed this line of family has a few that are not marked:
7. Sarah is the daughter of David Barker [unknown confidence]
8. David is the son of James Barker [unknown confidence]
9. James is the son of William Barker [unknown confidence]
10. William is the son of Barbara (Dungan) Barker [unknown confidence]
Barker-1726 and Barker-1731 appear to represent the same person because: These two women have the same parents, same dob etc. and should be merged. Thanks, Chris
