Roland (known by most as Roly) was born on the 7th of August 1945 in Cambridge to Arthur Edward Barker and Marjory Irene (Peacock) Barker.
The second of 3 children:
- Joy Louise Barker
- Roly
- Angie
He married Janet Rosemary Bryant on the 18th of February 1967 in Stanground, Peterborough.
They had 1 son: Paul and 2 granddaughters.
He passed away on 6th March 2023 in Ely. Following cremation he was interred with his wife Janet in Sutton Cemetery.
