Henry Barker was born in Buckinghamshire, England.
Henry was born in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, England, in 1860.[1] He was the son of William Barker and Emma Musgrove. He was enumerated in the 1861 census [2] residing with his parents and sister Eliza in Newport Pagnell.
Although no marriage registration found, family records indicate Henty married a Margaret (Unknown) around 1889. The marriage probably occurred in Scotland, as Henry, wife Margaret, and son William, were enumerated in the 1891 census [3] residing in Inverness, Scotland at the Cameron Barracks. Henry was a Lance Corporal in the Cameron Highlanders. Henry relocated to Cheshire, England. He was enumerated in the 1901 census [4] residing in Monks Coppenhall, with his wife and four children. He stated his occupation as "Town Postman". The family was still living in Monks Coppenhall in 1911.[5]
Henry passed away in 1938.[6] His death was registered in the third quarter in crewe, Cheshire.
