Charles Barker was born in Cheshire, England.

Charles was born in Crewe, Cheshire, England, in 1873.[1] His birth was registered in the first quarter in Nantwich. He was the son of William Barker and Emma Musgrove. He was enumerated in the 1881, [2] and 1891 census [3] residing with his family in Church Coppenhall, Cheshire. In the 1891 census he stated his occupation as a "Painter's Apprentice".

Charles married Ruth Cullingford [4] in 1893. The marriage was registered in the fourth quarter in Nantwich. Ruth had been born in Leeds, West Riding of Yorkshire, and the couple relocated there after their marriage. They were enumerated in the 1901 census [5] residing in Leeds with three children, Bertha, six, Charles, five, and Harold, two. Charles stated his occupation as "House Painter". In 1911, [6] the family was residing in North Leeds. Son Charles does not appear on the census, but two additional children, Sydney, age eight, and Ellen May, one, are at residence.

Charles passed away in 1947.[7] His death was registered in the third quarter in Leeds.
