John Barker (son of Joel Barker and Katherine Harrison) was born Abt. 1720 in Surry Co., VA, and died 1808 in Iredell Co., NC. He married Elizabeth Gilliam on Abt. 1746 in Surry Co., VA, daughter of Hincha Gilliam and Faith Briggs.
