Research Notes

Margaret's father has previously been shown on WikiTree as John Barclay of Ury d.1731. This stemmed from a presupposition that it was this John Barclay who married her mother Margaret Ker. There is no evidence for this relationship. A Y-DNA exercise completed October 2020 shows that this John Barclay of Ury was not the father of Margaret Ker's sons. In addition Douglas Richardson gives only one marriage for him, to Katherine LNAB Unknown, and names just one son, John.[3]

Barkley-806 and Barclay-171 appear to represent the same person because: same king family. Husband and wife and children need to be merged. Let me know if you need help.
