Catherine Barlow (married name Jewell) was born on 15 March 1896 in South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, daughter of Catherine Fleming (McArthur) Barlow and James Richard Barlow.^{[citation needed]}

She married Thomas William Jewell on 2 October 1920 in Victoria.^[1] Their children were:

• Valeria Helena Jewell (1921–1976)
• Thomas Raymond Jewell (1928–1971)

Catherine died on 27 January 1966 in Geelong, Victoria, aged 69 years.^[2]
