Biography

Maria was born in 3 April 1862 and baptised, in George Cape Colony Dutch Reformed Church, on 4 May 1862^[1]

Maria married O.J. Alers in Oudtshoorn on 16 Dec 1884^[2]. At the time of marriage O.J. Alers lived at Vondeling, Willowmore, while Maria lived at Vlakteplaats, Oudtshoorn^[2].

Maria and her family moved from Oudtshoorn, Cape Colony, to Katdoornbos, district Potchefstroom^[3].

According to her and her spouse's death notices, she died 21 April 1936^[3][4].
