Biography
Obed was born in 1826. He was the son of John Barnard [Barnard-3866] and his wife Sopherony Sottle [Sottle-3].
He moved from Washington County to Tippecanoe County with his family at the age of 7.
Obed was a grain dealer in Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana.
Obed married Elizabeth Jennings on 30 January 1849. Together they had John F Barnard and Floyd Guy Barnard.
Obed married Elizabeth M. Barnes on 23 May 1876. Together the had Elizabeth, who died in infancy.
He passed away on 8 Apr 1903 in Fowler, Benton County, Indiana and was buried in Spring Vale Cemetery, Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana.[1]
