Mary was born on the 4th February 1764 the daughter of Edward Barnard and Mary (Gastineau) Barnard.
Mary married William Deeble on the 28th August 1790 at St James' Church, Clerkenwell, Islington, England. The register states that William Deeble of the parish of St Peter le Poer, London and Mary Barnard of this parish married by Licence on the 28th August 1790, witnessed by (Charles?) Gastineau, Sarah Gastineau, Thomas Deeble, Eliza Deeble and E. Barnard. Mary's mother's maiden name was Gastineau.[1]

Their marriage is confirmed by the non-conformist registration of the birth of her sons Edward Barnard Deeble[2][3] and John Charles Deeble[4][5], which names Mary as the daughter of Edward Barnard.[6]
Her husband William wrote his will in 1796 and it was proved on 1st Feb 1797. He left everything to her, and said that she could divide up the estate between the 4 children when she died. Detail of the will is on William Deeble’s profile.
Mary was named in her father's will as Mary Dibble. The page containing details of his will Space:Will_of_Edward_Barnard_1735_-_1808 includes images and a transcript of the will.[7]
Mary died on the 9th December 1805.

Based originally on a Barnard family bible, and unless otherwise sourced, any precise dates are as shown on hand-written notes (page 5) compiled about the 11th December 1878 by John Barnard (1797-1880) Barnard-4046, living at 12 Compton Terrace, Canonbury, Middlesex from before 1861 until his death. Also shown, in different handwriting, is one of his children Katherine Barnard (1844-1912) Barnard-4055 living at 12 Highbury Terrace, Islington, Middlesex from before 1911 until her death, and one of his grandchildren Kate Barnard Blaikley (1879-1969) Blaikley-22 living at 5 Canfield Gardens, Hampstead, Middlesex from before 1939 until before her death. These hand-written notes record the Barnard family, and others, commencing with William Barnard (1605-1682) through to a John Barnard, a farmer in 1898, living at Haslingfield, 1¼ miles from Barrington, Cambridgeshire, where Barnard ancestors had lived since 1605. A copy of these notes is in the possession of Trevor Pickup (Pickup-177) and Michael Pickup (Pickup-178).

Thank you for your help. I don't think there's anything wrong; I didn't realise you had already done the merge. It is all a bit overwhelming but I can see how the Family Connections section only works through the co-operation of the members. As I mentioned before I have a distant cousin of Jamaican origin - it's her grandfather whom I share more DNA with, according to FTDNA.. I would like her to join WikiTree; meanwhile she is suggesting I join Gedcom. What is your opinion of Gedcom? I've noticed some WikiTree members are not too happy with it. I have hesitated to join it because I htink they want to count all their members as Mormons, which I am not. Another thing I've been meaning to mention is that I have joined JewishGen. They have online talks, which are very interesting, and a regular newsletter. Their main aim is to reunite Jewish families that have been torn apart and have lost many members, I think. My links with Judaism are that my father's father converted to it and that I have a tiny bit of six kinds of Jewish DNA (less than 1% each). I don't know which part(s) of my family it's from. I think you may be interested in JewishGen's talks. The last one was about how endogamy can affect DNA match proportions. I think this may apply to the Sandemanians to some extent, with so many mariages between a few families. I could send you a link if you like.
Best wishes, Judith
You might like to be on the trusted list, so that her provide appears on your watch list, so I have added you to her profile.
I am happy to merge the profile of Mary if there is a duplicate record on Wikitree, but I am not aware of a duplicate at the moment.
