Biography
Mary Goode "Polly” Barnes, dau. of Francis and Anne (Osborne) Barnes of Charlotte County VA was born March 3 1775. She married on Dec 18 1804 Henry Cheaney and married second on Nov 19 1818 Henry Robertson, son of Henry Robertson of Charlotte County.[1]
On May 11, 1820, her father wrote his will naming daughter Polly Goode Robertson.
Per the 1850 census, Polly was living with Betty Haily, 45, and Samuel F. Barnes, 30. She wrote her will in 1852, leaving her entire estate to Samuel F. Barnes (her nephew); the will was witnessed by Henry Barnes and Reps A. Barnes. Apparently no children[2]
