Biography

Emma was born about 1893. She was the daughter of George Barnes and Lavernia Weaver.

Emma was listed in the 1900 Census. [1]

Note: The 1900 Census contains a transcription error, stating her year of birth as 1843 instead of 1893 - making her 50 years older than Emma actually was in 1900.

She passed away in 1969.

She and her first husband, Clarence Bell, had three children.

1. Anna Mae Bell, b. 05 July 1910, Steubenville, Jefferson, OH; d. 12 March 1973, Steubenville, Jefferson, OH.

2. Robert Conn Bell, SR, b. 29 April 1912, Steubenville, Jefferson, OH; d. 12 January 1990, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach, FL.

Obituary: Steubenville, Jefferson Co., OH. Mrs. Emma (Bell) Still, 75, of 153 Wildon Ave., died Friday in the East Liverpool Extended Care Center at 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 24, 1969. Had been in failing health for the past 8 months. Born December 4, 1893 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late GEorge and Lavernia Barnes. Resided in Steubenville her entire life. She was a charter member of the Ladies Schwaben Auxiliary. Mrs. Still leaves a son Robert C. Bell of Wintersville; two daughters, Miss Virginia M. Bell, and Mrs. Ann May Weaver, both of Steubenville; a sister Anna Cox of Cleveland; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Still, in 1964 three brothers and one sister. Services at Cole Brothers Funeral Home with REv. Richard Ferrell of LaBelle View Methodist Church officiating.

Burial in Ft. Steuben Estates, Wintersville, Jefferson Co, OH Section: Garden of Flowers, Block A Lot #171 grave #2 also referenced as Block A Lot 172-1. Not sure which one is right
