Fielding Barnes was born in 1780 in Kentucky, USA, son of William Barnes (1743 - 1806) and Hannah (Andrews) Barnes (~1748 - ~1818).

Fielding died in 1810 in Mercer, Kentucky aged ~30.[1]

Fielding Barnes was incorrectly given the name Moses Fielding Barnes, there are no records that Indicate that he every had that name. It appears that people have attribute records to a Moses Barnes who lived in Fayette County.
Fielding Barnes is found in the Mercer County tax list for 1800, 1801, 1803, 1804, 1806, 1808, 1809, 1810, on the Mercer County Kentucky marriage Bond for his sister Milly Barnes 3 Dec 1808, he is listed on 1 Oct 1810 in the Mercer County Minutes as being Deceased, and the 19 Oct Oct 1810 Mercer County Probate Records (Inventory). The name Moses is never uses.
