George was born in 1859. He passed away in 1940.
He was general secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers from 1896 to 1909.
George was one of the 29 Labour MPs elected in the 1906 general election.
He remained MPs Glasgow Blackfriars from 1906-1918 and then with a constituency rename Glasgow Gorbals from 1918-1922.
According to Wikipedia to be investigated. In 1882 he had married Jessie, daughter of Thomas Langlands, with whom he had two sons and a daughter; his youngest son was killed in action in France while serving as a Second Lieutenant with the Gordon Highlanders during the First World War
