Immigration and Land Patents
Barnes is not an uncommon name. Skordas records 34 persons named Barnes immigrating or being transported to Maryland between 1633 and 1680. None of them were named Abraham. However, there were two Richards:
Richard Barnes (WC2:320) Transported 1680; servant.
Richard Barnes (18;35) and Susannah his wife. Service, 1672. [1]
Children
NOTE: No source has been provided for James Barnes as a son; James Barnes is well documented, but no parents for him have been found. Therefore I have de-linked him as a son.Day-1904 16:35, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

None of you monitor the Barnes news feed. Recently a change was made to the James Barnes, Sr. making newly created profile Abraham Barnes his father. This action was remanded the same day but the change was not made on the James Barnes, Sr. profile. I descend from James Barnes, Sr. but only indirectly and by no means consider myself an expert on the line. The experts are Dr. Larry Bowling, admin if the Barnes Y-DNA who descends from that line [[Day-1904|Jack Day}} and Dave McDougle. There have been numerous recent change to many in this line. I hope you will work together to make sure they are accurate.
Barnes-3875 and Barnes-13177 are not ready to be merged because: There is documentation for more than one Abraham Barnes from England in the colonies of Virginia and North Carolina during the estimated time period. will need more details to determine whether these two are the same. Did his father have two wives, for example?
Barnes-3875 and Barnes-13177 appear to represent the same person because: an extra generation of an Abraham was somehow introduced. Also, Richard, the father of Abraham Sr, married both Rachel Croshaw and the Dix woman. I'll help you get this worked out; we're almost clear. Probably at least one, maybe two more merges to get this streamlined.
