Biography
Matilda "Tillie" A. Barnes was born October 6, 1870 in Johnson, Indiana. She was the daughter of UNKNOWN Barnes and UNKNOWN Barnes.
When Tillie was 22 she married Charles Hamilton Mead on September 6, 1893 in Marion, Alabama.[1] The couple had 5 children:
In the 1900 census Tillie (age 29) was living in Indianapolis City, Marion, Indiana.[2]
She died, at the age of 44, on December 13, 1909 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is buried at the Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana.[3]
