Birth
Jonathan was born about 1817. He is a son of Samuel and Rebecca Barnes.
Marriage and Children
He married, in 1842, Hannah L. Brown. Their home was in West Chester, Pa., and they had four children:
- William, b.1843, married Ella Engle
- Anna Massey, b.1844, d.1844
- Rebecca Butcher, b.1845, married an army major
- Samuel, b.1848, d.1887 of cuts from a mowing machine
Death
He passed away after 1870.
