Biography

Mary Mervina [Melvina] was born October 25, 1879 in White County, Arkansas to father G J Bornes and mother Mary Elizabee Quick.[1]

Mary M Barns was enumerated as daughter at El Paso, White County, Arkansas for the June 7, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as born 1880 in Arkansas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Thomas J Barns, wife Lizzie Barns, son Thomas W Barns, other (boarder) Ben S Griffith and other Jack W Baker.[2]

Mamie M Barnes wed E E Nolen July 3, 1895 in White County, Arkansas as seen in an image of the original marriage register.[3]

Mamie M Nolan was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Bird, Tuckerman, Jackson County, Arkansas for the June 6, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born October 1879 in Arkansas and had been married four years. She was the mother of two children of which both were still living as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Esker Nolan, daughter Eunice L Nolan, daughter Gertrude A Nolan and brother Benjamin G Nolan.[4]

Mannie M Nelsen was enumerated as wife of the head of household at 702 Arthur, Amarillo, Potter County, Texas for the April 19, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1880 in Arkansas and had been married fifteen years. She was the mother of two children of which both were still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Esker E Nelsen, daughter Eva L Nelsen, daughter Gertrude A Nolen, brother-in-law Jno D Barnes, lodger Charles E Tinnle and lodger Thos F Quick.[5]

Mary Mervina Nolen died August 3, 1918 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas. She was married.[1]

As listed in the Find A Grave Index,[6] Mamie Melvina Barnes Nolen is buried at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Randall County, Texas, USA, Plot: Section 24 Lot 28 Space 2.[7]
