BRUNSON - Mrs. Margaret Barnes Reeves, 89, widow of the late Thomas Jefferson Reeves, died early Sunday morning April 21, 2002 in the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Reeves was born in Hampton County, December 6, 1912 a daughter of the late Samuel and Leona Rivers Barnes.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Brunson Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, T.J. "Tommy" Reeves, Jr. of Allendale; two daughters, Ann R. Lyons of Fairfax and Kay R. Thames of Brunson; two brothers, Samuel Barnes of Walterboro and Warren Barnes of Hampton; three sisters, Veronica Zeyak of Auburn, New York, Clarice Pulaski of Estill, and Willie Lee Barnes of Hampton. There are 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Reeves was pre-deceased in death by a daughter, Betty Hope.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, in the Chapel of PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME in Hampton, with burial in the Crocketville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Chapel in Hampton from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, and Tuesday until the hour of services. [2]
