OBITUARY
MR. II. F. BARNES.
The death occurred in the Prince Henry Hospital, Sydney, on Saturday, of Mr. Henry Felix Barnes, aged 77, a brother of Mr. B. T. Barnes, of Grafton. The late Mr. H. F. Barnes was born at Palmer's Island, and spent his early life in the Clarence River district as a school teacher. His last school was Woolgoolga, of which he was in charge, and he retired from the service many years ago. Because of the shortage of teachers during the war, he offered his services to the Department of Education and they were accepted. He was teaching until about a week before his death. He is survived by three sons. Frank, Arthur and Rupert, and one daughter, Mrs. J. Phillips (Muswellbrook) .
