Hi Richard, do you have your sister's parents entered? If you go into edit on your sister's profile, select edit 'Father' on the right hand side, when in that screen scroll to the bottom and you will see options to Remove Father and to Replace Father. You can choose to remove and then replace, or to replace if you know her father's profile ID. Then if you need to change her mother it is the same procedure again. This will delink her from you and link her to her parents (or leave her unattached for you to manually add her parents).

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree. You might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created. OurMentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any. Good luck growing your tree, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree. Enjoy collaborating on WikiTree.

Hi Richard,

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

Richard , I noticed you plan to or already uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to instructions on the step-by-step gedcom import at WikiTree , including screenshots that you might find helpful. You might also want to check out our gedom instructions

Please keep in mind that our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Thank you for taking the time to go through your gedmatches.

TIP: if your ancestor was born over two hundred years ago, there's a very good chance she/he already has a profile on wikitree.

Hi,

Welcome as a guest to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile for every person.

A couple suggestions to get you started:

1. Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum .

2. Our help pages, top right, have all sorts of useful information.

If you would like to contribute, click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile to let our greeters know. You should tell them how you plan to contribute i.e putting your family on, giving information to the community or asking for help. Its also nice to say what experience you have. (This doesn’t really matter)

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree - Matty Gerrard :)
