Biography

Benjamin was the son of Lewis Bennett (alias Barnett) and Elizabeth Jones [Dean]. His father Lewis was transported on 8 Sep 1821 to New South Wales, he was convicted of stealing, given 7 years and arrived aboard the "Adamant". His mother Elizabeth was the daughter of two convicts sent to Australia 1799 & 1802.
