Elda Lavell Perkins was born 22 Jun 1920 in Bridgeport, Wise, TX. Her parents were Otto Barnett and Claudia Easly. ^{[1] [2]}

In 1930, Lavell was living in Bridgeport, Wise, TX with her parents, William and Claudia. She was the 3rd of 4 children in the household. ^[3]

In 1940, Lavell Perkins and her husband, H.L. were living in Young, TX with his parents, George and Ethel. In 1935, they lived in rural Wise, TX. H.L. was employed as a newspaper printer. ^[4]

Elda Lavelle Barnett and H.L. Perkins were married 26 Dec 1936 in Young, TX. ^[5]

Her obituary posted in the 25 Oct 1995 issue of the Tyler, TX newspaper state: Elda Lavelle Perkins was born 22 Jun 1920 in Bridgeport, TX. She was married to H.L. Perkins. Her only child was RIcky Perkins. She died 25 Oct 1995 while living in Malakoff, TX. She was buried in Goree, TX. ^[6]Elda was buried in Goree Cemetery, Goree, Knox, T X along side her husband, H.L who died in 2005. ^[7]
