Evening News (Sydney, NSW: 1869 - 1931)Tuesday 7 January 1902. [1] At Fairlight, Manly, on Saturday, a young girl named Emily P. Barnett, aged 14, and a youth named Stanley F. Bonamy, 19 years of age, were walking along the rocks, when Miss Barnett tripped and fell headlong into about 10ft of water. Bonamy at once jumped in and eventually succeeded in rescuing her, although he experienced some little trouble in getting her on to the rock, the top of which was fully 3ft from the water. Both are residents of Petersham.
