We are really happy that you took the Pre-1700 certification Quiz. Thank you for doing your part to make WikiTree an accurate and openly collaborative place for genealogists to share their research.
Do you have some 1700's people in your tree already ? Now that you have the badge, you can take part in one of our historical projects.
Have a great day !

At this time, I cannot confirm that our Jonathan Woodsons are a match. The only comparison we have in common is the DOB year. If you have any further info, please re-contact me. Can you advise how he places in your family lineage? Thanks. Dale Brewer

I see that you have added an unmerged match with Thomas Green(e), son of Joseph Green. Thomas was born prior to the American revolution and his father, Major Joseph Green(e), fought for the British as part of the first battalion of Delancey's Brigade. Joseph was granted land in the area of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada, in 1783. His wife's family (Flewellings) were granted land near Fredericton. Thomas owned land in Carleton County, NB, in 1810. Can you confirm that part of your family is from Canada?

My gedcom file has not been integrated so we cannot compare these people. I have a Jessie Elmo Swain, no vital stats. I have him marrying Ida May Spencer and a child, Florence Geneva Swain. Forence Married my first husband's father, Earl Monroe Lane. Florence was born 4/24/1907 in New Albany, Mississippi and died 7/31/1940, location unknown.
I do not know who he married.
One possibility is below from a 1940 census record:
Name: Jessie E Swain Spouse: Orea Lee Swain Children: Paul Swain Birth: abt 1872 in Mississippi Residence: 1 Apr 1940 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, United States
Other than the above, I have no clue.
