Curtis Barnett RN is Notable.

Curtis Barnett was born in 1696 and baptised at St Mary, Alverstoke, Hampshire on 20 April, the son of Benjamin Barnett and his wife, Mary Willin. [1] His father, first Lieutenant of HMS Stirling Castle, was lost with his ship on the Goodwin Sands on 27 November 1703 during the great storm of that year. [2]

Marriage

Curtis married Elizabeth Rosewell, daughter of Benjamin Rosewell and his wife, Elizabeth Wyborne, at St Paul's Cathedral on 13 May 1725 [3]

Death

Commodore Curtis Barnett RN died aboard HMS Harwich at Fort St David, on the Coromandel Coast on 2 May 1746 after a short illness. [4]
