Preston Barnett was born 24 June 1842 in Mason County, Virginia, to Robert Barnett and Elizabeth Rayburn.[1] He married Clara Casto on 28 December 1865 in Jackson County, West Virginia.[2] He died 18 August 1916 in Jackson County, West Virginia, and is buried in the Barnette Cemetery.[3]
