DNA Connections

However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lucy:
Hello! I'm a descendant of Jesse J. Johnson and Lucy Webb Barnett (they're my 5th great grandfather and grandmother). I am in the process of building out my family tree on Ancestry.com, and I've been referencing a book written by LBJ's mother, Rebekah Baines Johnson, to fill in some of our common ancestors.
I thought I had correctly identified the parents of Lucy Webb Barnett based on this book, other entries on Ancestry, and records from the DAR. But then I see this entry says that her assumed parents have been disproven:
Disproven Parents
Leonard Barnett (1773–1828)
Nancy Statham (1773–1828)[5] A known son of this couple has a proven birth that conflicts, they could not have borne both children.
If possible, I would love to learn more about how this was disproven, and how her correct parents were identified. The citation given is for an American Presidential Families Book, but I'm not sure what it would be able to tell me.
If anyone can provide additional information, that would be amazing. Thank you!
