Carol Conway, Firsthand knowledge ... I have personally been to these parishes and the record hall in Aylesbury, I found the baptismal record for Katherine Barney before 1993, in the parish registry in Hornton, Oxfordshire, England. It lists her father (correct signature) and mother Christian. Oxfordshire borders Buckinghamshire and Hornton is not far from Bradenham. In looking at references to the Barney family in Buckinghamshire, it is easy to narrow down where errors come from. The references that list Bradenham, Bredham (No such place) comes from copied genealogies from FamilySearch!! Bradenham, Buckinghamshire (old style) or Bucks, is correct. Much more research is nessesary in the parishes and counties that surround Buckinghamshire.
