Services for Herbert Barnhart, 86, of Bone Gap, will be held Friday at 2 p. m. from the Ingram Funeral Home, with Daulty Mason officiating.
Mr. Barnhart died Tuesday at Red Hill Rest Haven nursing home in Sumner, where he had been a patient since November 11. He had resided for the past four years with his daughter at Tuscola, Mrs, Lowell Henby, prior to entering the nursing home.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Reatha Brown of Terre Haute, Indiana, Mrs. George (Lucille) Crabtree of Owensville, Indiana, Mrs. Dollie Patterson of Santa Monica, Calif, and Mrs. Virgie Henby of Tuscola; two sons, Alvin of Olney and Mearl of Merkel, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George of Mt. Carmel and Glenn of Albion; and a sister, Mrs. Hulda Holt of Texas.
A retired farmer, he resided near Bone Gap until four years ago. He was born April 7, 1884 in Edwards County, the son of Adam and Mary Bond Barnhart.
He was married in 1906 to Hannah Mason, who preceded him in death July 26, 1948.
Burial will be at West Village Cemetery.
